Overview
The Lab is the interactive simulator. It opens with one randomly selected condition in the Essentials workspace. The bold italic disease name beside Live hemodynamics identifies the selected pathology; it is not hidden as it is in Quiz.
A useful first exercise is to compare baseline with one disease and one intervention. Read the ECG, arterial pressure and filling pressures together, then pause to inspect the same state in more detail.
Step by step
- Choose The Lab in the navigation bar. Use Reset if you want to start with normal baseline physiology.
- Open Clinical controls. Expand a disease category and select one condition. Expand Baseline vitals to see its rhythm and starting values.
- Open Add traces & tools and toggle the channels you want to compare.
- Select Pause. Point at a waveform to inspect its features, or hover/touch the linked ECG, Wiggers and PV diagrams to explore the cardiac cycle.
- Resume, add one intervention, then pause again to compare the response.
