Coronary angioplasty

Find Coronary angioplasty in Procedures. Catheter-based coronary reperfusion improves ischemic flow. This example modestly improves forward output and filling pressure with residual ST elevation; it does not remove pulmonary emboli.

Overview

Open Interventions → Procedures. Choose Not performed, Reperfuse. Effect levels and flow targets represent illustrative modeled responses; they are not clinical dose instructions.

Catheter-based coronary reperfusion improves ischemic flow. This example modestly improves forward output and filling pressure with residual ST elevation; it does not remove pulmonary emboli.

The paused reference covers the route (Arterial access for coronary angiography and PCI, usually with stenting.), example doses/settings, indications, adverse effects, contraindications/precautions and monitoring. These details are available after the intervention is selected.

What to monitor in the reference: Symptoms, ECG, coronary flow and hemodynamics. Persistent ST elevation can reflect incomplete tissue reperfusion; this partial-response example cannot assess artery patency.

Step by step

  1. Inspect the untreated disease and active treatment count.
  2. Apply the intervention and compare pressures, forward flow, rhythm and congestion.
  3. Pause for its full reference; use Off or Interventions Reset to restart the comparison.
