Interventions
Every drug, maneuver, device and electrical intervention.
Temporary transvenous pacing
Find Temporary transvenous pacing in Electricity. Electrical ventricular capture raises ventricular rate; isolated V pacing does not restore AV synchrony.
Tricuspid clip
Find Tricuspid clip in Experimental. Leaflet approximation reduces tricuspid regurgitation and systolic RA c–v loading; a restrictive opening can impair RV filling.
V-A ECMO
Find V-A ECMO in Mechanical support. Venous drainage, extracorporeal oxygenation and arterial return support systemic perfusion. Peripheral return increases LV afterload; LV distension and pulmonary edema may require unloading.
Valsalva
Find Valsalva in Maneuvers. Forced expiration against resistance raises intrathoracic pressure. I: transient BP rise. II: reduced venous return with reflex responses. III: release-related BP dip. IV: recovery/overshoot; severe HF may blunt the usual pattern.
Vasopressin
Find Vasopressin in Vasopressors. V₁-mediated vasoconstriction independent of adrenergic receptors.
